Katalyst opens iGlass data centre in Perth Martin Kovacs, 18 May 2016

Katalyst Data Management has opened a new full-service iGlass data centre at its Perth operation, KDM SpectrumData, supporting oil and gas companies in the Asia Pacific region with operational and exploration programs.

Katalyst’s signature hosted technology solution, iGlass “provides a complete set of tools for the full life cycle of subsurface data management”, incorporating a web-based ESRI GIS map interface for direct access by clients to all their digital seismic, well and interpretation data.

“Expanding our signature iGlass solution into the Asia Pacific region is crucial to being a global service provider for subsurface data management,” Katalyst President and CEO Steve Darnell commented.

“Even in this difficult business environment, we are backing a strong future for the oil and gas industry by investing in the Asia Pacific. We are taking the long-term view that this is good for our customers and Katalyst.

"We are very excited to be able to meet the needs of our global oil and gas clients with a full-service data centre in nearly every major area they operate.”
